My family and I worked with YES Valencia when we were relocating from the U.S. We truly believe that we could not have transitioned as we did without the amazing services of YES Valencia... especially with the complications of covid. Linda, Zanda and Janis have excess and professional knowledge on all aspects of relocating our family. The whole team at YES Valencia - Linda, Zanda, and Janis, are amazing! They helped us find the perfect apartment much faster than we expected. They also handled utility setups, contracts, city hall registration and visa processing quickly and with ease. Their translation skills, knowledge of Valencia, and understanding of everything we would need took loads of stress out of what is inherently a stressful process. When you meet another expat from the USA in Valencia about three sentences into the conversation this frequently gets said, “You used Yes Valencia? I did too. I love them! They’re the best!” I have never heard anything other than rave reviews about them from the six or more people I’ve met that engaged them to assist with their Valencia moves. In my experience Yes Valencia are consummate professionals and are:
• Very very very good at what they do.
• Very organized and structured in the way they do it.
• Very flexible if and when your plans or situation change. I had a major change of plans after arriving and they rolled with it, no problem.
• Very aware of the current status of things regarding the pandemic, government regulations and procedures, the housing market, etc.
• Very up front about the costs. After an initial interview/conversation, they gave me an estimate. I gave them a deposit and then paid the balance when all services were complete, and I was happily squared away. They adjusted the cost down due to my change of plans.
• Very transparent as to how they work with you and the various entities they engage on your behalf.
• Very “got your back” by vigilantly keeping an eye on things and always acting in your best interest.
There are other people/organizations that provide similar services here in Valencia. I have not worked with any of them, so I can’t speak from experience, but I can say this: I have heard good things about one of them and I have heard horrible things about another. This I do know: You cannot go wrong with Yes Valencia. I would suggest you do not wait until the last minute to contact them. It’s likely you will need to engage them and get your move on their calendar well in advance of needing their services. Though they have remained busy through most of the pandemic (I was planning to arrive May 1st. I thought I was going to have to start over post-pandemic, but with their help and encouragement I got here in September.), I would imagine that demand for their services is going to go up as things return to normal.

e feel very fortunate to have been recommended to use YES Valencia while we were planning our move from Chicago in the summer of 2020. We knew it would be a big challenge moving to a new country and not knowing the language, and of course the worldwide pandemic made things far more complicated. We second guessed ourselves more than once on whether we were doing the right thing! But then we met Zanda!

From our very first Zoom chat we knew we’d made the right decision. She was so warm, friendly, positive and super helpful, and immediately lowered our stress levels 🙂 She guided us through every step of the move, from dealing with all the paperwork for our visa application to helping us find short and long-term accommodation. All these things are incredibly complex and time-consuming but Zanda and team did all the hard work. Nothing was too much trouble and Zanda always did it with a big smile. Within a couple of weeks of arriving in Valencia we were living in a great apartment in Rusaffa and already feeling at home in this wonderful city. The transition was unbelievably smooth and looking back at everything we had to do, we honestly don’t think we could have done it without the expertise of Zanda, Linda and Janis.

Besides the invaluable practical assistance, they also introduced us to other expats, which also helped us settle into our new hometown. We have now been in Valencia for a year and have our residency visas, all thanks to Zanda and team! We are now considering buying a home here and of course we will be using YES Valencia to assist us. How do you even begin to say thank you. We moved to Valencia in November last year and Linda, Janis and Zanda have made our transition seamless or at least seamless. From my first Skype call with Linda, she had a way to make me feel at ease about our move. We have had a few problems in finding the right house but without their help I would have been a crying heap on the floor. They assisted us in finding a school for our son, arranged for bank accounts and utilities and drove us around house hunting always with a smile on their faces.
