YES Valencia

We used YesValencia to help us relocate to Valencia and I’m really happy. Zanda and Linda are the nicest people you could meet and really hard working.

My friend had an unfortunate accident while exploring the city and Zanda even helped communicate with the hospital and doctors. Great company, highly recommended 😁.

When you meet another expat from the USA in Valencia about three sentences into the conversation this frequently gets said, “You used Yes Valencia? I did too. I love them! They’re the best!” I have never heard anything other than rave reviews about them from the six or more people I’ve met that engaged them to assist with their Valencia moves. In my experience Yes Valencia are consummate professionals and are:
• Very very very good at what they do.
• Very organized and structured in the way they do it.
• Very flexible if and when your plans or situation change. I had a major change of plans after arriving and they rolled with it, no problem.
• Very aware of the current status of things regarding the pandemic, government regulations and procedures, the housing market, etc.
• Very up front about the costs. After an initial interview/conversation, they gave me an estimate. I gave them a deposit and then paid the balance when all services were complete, and I was happily squared away. They adjusted the cost down due to my change of plans.
• Very transparent as to how they work with you and the various entities they engage on your behalf.
• Very “got your back” by vigilantly keeping an eye on things and always acting in your best interest.
There are other people/organizations that provide similar services here in Valencia. I have not worked with any of them, so I can’t speak from experience, but I can say this: I have heard good things about one of them and I have heard horrible things about another. This I do know: You cannot go wrong with Yes Valencia. I would suggest you do not wait until the last minute to contact them. It’s likely you will need to engage them and get your move on their calendar well in advance of needing their services. Though they have remained busy through most of the pandemic (I was planning to arrive May 1st. I thought I was going to have to start over post-pandemic, but with their help and encouragement I got here in September.), I would imagine that demand for their services is going to go up as things return to normal.

I have lived in 4 countries which were not my own, the current one being Spain (Valencia). Just before moving here in April 2018, I heard about the services offered by Linda and Janis of ‘Moving to Valencia’ through a friend who came to Spain around 6 months ago; she had made very positive comments, saying how happy she was with Linda and her assistance.

From my 1st contact with Linda, I could see that my friend was absolutely right. The services and assistance that Moving to Valencia offers are quite exceptional. I already speak a little Spanish, possibly even just enough to make my own arrangements with governmental bodies, but immediately felt so much more at ease with Linda’s advice, guidance and physical presence: she took the potential stress out of everything with her experience, fluent Spanish, patience and in-depth knowledge of how things work (and don’t work) here.

It can be very daunting moving to a new country, trying to officially register for anything and set up various appointments, anything from choosing an internet and mobile phone provider, to necessary ID documentation at the right local government offices, opening the right kind of bank account etc. I soon came to realise that the assistance and ‘hands on’ approach from Linda & Janis was crucial, thorough, very professional & polite.

The result in my case, is that within only 3 months I am already officially resident and have all I need, including a sound health insurance plan, all thanks to the indispensable services that Moving to Valencia offers!

Linda was extremely kind and helpful to me, outlining exactly what I needed to do to gain residency in Spain (which can seem like a complicated process; what documents I needed, how to get them, how to organise an appointment...) She even recommended a tax advisor! The idea of relocating to Spain was an exciting concept. Executing the plan was so much more involved than we could have imagined. Don't get me started on the trials and tribulations of doing everything during the Covid outbreak.
Fortunately, Linda, Yanis and Zanda guided us through the process and continued to assist us on time-sensitive issues after we arrived in Spain. Given that moving from the San Francisco Bay Area was a logistical challenge, it was also emotionally difficult to leave family and friends.
